temperatures wilntually climb into the mid 60s for today. that is fa-plus weather sure. not much of a breeze either. it will be open sunroof weather tomorrow, but today it's all about the seat heaters. >> reporter: we'll deal with it as we head in. we'll start on the beltway. outer loop, unfortunately an early morning crash before branch avenue blocking the left lane. we've got the inner loop of the beltway, viia, up in georgetown pike. that's got a work zone in place. th should be clearing. word of potentially a new crash on the outer loop along the right side of the roadwan southbound ooute 1 as you head between farragut street and 43rd avenue in hyattsville, water main repairs with a left lane getting by. we had activity on turkey hill road in la plata. bothes ways w of 301 near skylark drive. unfortunately, turkey hill is blocked in both directions. authorities are on tscene. ifs is a normal route of travel, you'll need to find an alternatete this morning early. back to you.

sader dinner. 4:35. here's a look at the other top stories this morning. a gunman who shot eight people in west baltimore is on the run this morning. one person died in the shootin that happened yesterday afternoon at a okcoout. detectives say a man approached an intersection and started bshooting. thieve someone in the crowd returned fire. this morning, iinestigators eattle are trying to determine whether weather played a role in the deadly crane weekend. over the four people were killed when the crane snapped in two from atop of a new google building saturday. a college student and two iron workers were among those killed. there were strong winds in the area shortly before the accident. this morning, six men are recovering after being trapped for two days in a cave near roanoke. they're being treated for hypothermia. the group explored the cave on friday when they could not make their way out. one of able to escape sunday and called for help. crews rescued the men one by one. it's unclear if the men had permission to be on the

property. this morning, we're looking more about a plane that flew into restricted airspace above our region. we receive more than a dozen calls saturday from viewers who were concerned about low-flying planes. it turns out arivate civilian aircraft was flying where it should not have been. two f-16 fighter jets were dispatched as a tiprecau. the pilot eventually regained communication with air traffic controllers and landed at a flareby airport. the airspacnd in a around the beltway is the most restricted in the country m.country. a maryland man seen jumping on a pelican has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and a year of probation. william hard see it also fined $1,000 for the incident in key west earlier this year. osted video of himself luring and then jumping on top of a pelican on his facebook page. florida police tracked him down from there. check out this new video into our uwsroom. ee an 8-year-old boy and his sister tumble out of a moving car. this is in ohio. >> police are calling the a boy hero. police in middletown, ohio, say

breaking news out of st. george, utah. police say a fight involving dozens of students required a s.w.a.t. team response and ended with at least ten people injured. here's pictures from the scene. his was the red rock canyon school. that's a residential treatment program for students with certain issues. there's 97 students within the school. it took a little time for to methodically go room by room
